Our dog coats - everything you need to know!

We at Back on Track have developed a large variety of dog blankets - for all kinds of occasions and for all types of dogs. In this guide, we explain the differences between our different models so that you can choose the most suitable one for your dog.

But since there are a plethora of different types of dog blankets on the market, we also want to take this opportunity to tell you what sets Back on Track's dog blankets apart from all the others! The most important thing is invisible to the naked eye.

In fact, all Back on Track blankets have the ability to reflect infrared energy (FIR) from the dog's own body heat. The effect is considered to increase well-being and stimulate blood circulation, which in turn has a beneficial effect on stiff joints and tense muscles.

Therapeutic effect through FIR

The material closest to the dog always contains our unique Welltex® or Iontex® technology. This means in practice that each thread contains fused minerals. It is thanks to these minerals that the infrared part of the body heat can be captured and sent back down into the tissues.

The therapeutic effect of FIR can stimulate blood flow and promote good mobility in the dog's muscles and joints.

Increased blood flow is also beneficial for the body's own healing processes. Therefore, the effect is often experienced to speed up recovery and also alleviate problems such as swelling and inflammation.

The most important factor in choosing a dog blanket: your own dog's needs

What type of dog do you have?

Different dog breeds have different coat quality and different body structure. This also makes it more or less easy for them to stay warm. Your dog's characteristics therefore determine when your dog needs a dog blanket and what type of dog blanket it needs.

A heavily built dog with dense, thick fur is, for example, well adapted to a cold climate. It then has less need for insulating filling - but can still appreciate a rain cover that keeps it dry and comfortable in all weathers. A dog with a slender build and short, thin coat is much less resistant to cold and will need help keeping warm as soon as it gets chilly. If the dog has no fur at all, it should also wear a dog blanket indoors.

We have blankets specially designed to fit certain specific body types, such as larger, muscular dogs, fine-limbed greyhounds, very small dogs or dogs with long backs and short legs. Dogs can also have a high or low tail setting, which makes some models more suitable than others.

What our blankets have in common is that they can be adapted to the individual dog to a great extent, thanks to well-thought-out design.

Find the perfect blanket for your dog!

The mesh coat - cool, light and airy all-round blankets

Back on Tracks Mesh coat is a multifunctional dog cover that can be used all year round, both outdoors and indoors. The outer layer consists of a mesh material that lets a lot of air through and the lining has very high breathability. A light and flexible mesh blanket is therefore excellent even in summer. In winter it can be layed under other coats.

Use the mesh coat before and after physical activity, to give the dog the best conditions for both performance and recovery. Perfect during car journeys! Many people use the blanket indoors because of the therapeutic properties.

The mesh coat is available in several sizes to suit both small and large dogs.

The rain cover - protects against rain and debris

Our rain covers have an outer layer of a water-repellent material and have taped seams. The lining contains Welltex® or Iontex®. All materials have high breathability so that the rain cover does not become too tight and warm.

Back on Tracks Standard coat is a beloved, easily recognizable classic that comes in several variations and many sizes. In its simplest form, it is a multifunctional, thinner dog blanket that protects against rain. A standard coat with filling also insulates and keeps the dog warm in cold weather. Such a blanket is an excellent choice for winter.

With a rain blanket from Back on Track the dog stays dry, warm and comfortable regardless of the weather.

In addition to our standard blankets, there are also dog rain blankets with an updated, innovative design to meet special requirements or suit certain body types.

"Nella" is a rain cover specially designed for dogs with normal to athletic build and low tail set. It is developed for maximum freedom of movement while protecting important muscle groups. It also goes down over and protects the base of the dog's tail, which can reduce the risk of "water tail" - a painful condition that can occur when the dog is exposed to cold and cold water.

"Bark" is the equivalent coat for dogs with high tail set.

Both are perfect choices for active dogs in slightly chilly weather and are durable enough to withstand heavy use in woods and fields.

"Stanley" is a further development of the Standard coat, but has a closer fit. The design suits dogs with a low tail setting and a slightly slimmer build.

"Sunny" is the corresponding blanket for dogs with a high tail setting.

These quilts are excellent winter quilts, with their water-repellent surface and insulating padding.

"Buddy" is a padded dog rain blanket, designed to fit dogs with a proportionately long back and short legs. A warm and comfortable winter blanket for Dachshunds and other breeds with a similar body type!

Our Whippet blanket offers the same material properties and the same careful design, but now instead specially adapted to the cold-sensitive sighthounds characteristic physique.

Our Eddie and Cassie coats are pulled over the head like a piece of clothing and fit perfectly as an extra layer under our dog blankets, but can also be worn alone. Dress the dog in layers, and you can continue to use a multi-functional, thinner blanket even if it starts to get cold!

"Cassie" is a versatile fleece sweater that gives the dog a lot of warmth and protection, thanks to both the properties of the material and the design. The shirt covers the upper part of the front legs and chest and surrounds the neck and neck.

"Eddie" and "Eddie Petite" are suitable for all types of dogs. The model is available in sharp orange, for maximum visibility in forest and land. The dog sweaters in the "Eddie" model have a stretchy, light water-repellent outer fabric.

Cool on Track Cooling Blanket - makes the summer heat bearable for fur family members

A few months out of the year, a new type of problem arises. Dogs are strongly affected by heat and it is therefore important to ensure that they do not overheat. The fur quickly absorbs the energy from the sunlight and also insulates the dog, making it difficult for it to regulate its body temperature.

Cool on Track™ is a technical material with high absorbency. It absorbs large amounts of water which then evaporates through the surface's large-mesh mesh material. The evaporation of the water lowers the temperature by about 6 °C. No chemicals are involved. A freezer or cooling block is not needed.

The coat is wrapped around the dog and thus covers a large part of the body surface. The material retains its cooling ability as long as it is wet. When the cover dries, just wet it again.

An easily accessible and quick solution

A cooling dog coat is a simple and practical solution that reduces the risk of overheating and heat stroke. The instructions are the simplest imaginable: Soak in water, squeeze out excess liquid, use!

Our popular Cool on Track blanket cools a large part of the dog's body and also protects it from the strong solar radiation. Strong velcro straps around the stomach and chest ensure that the blanket stays in place even when active.
