Did you know that certain minerals can have a therapeutic effect?
The effect occurs when the minerals absorb and re-emit the part of body heat that is emitted in the form of long-wave infrared energy (FIR).
If you melt the minerals into a soft functional material, you can wear them directly on the body. The minerals can then exert their therapeutic effect in the underlying tissues. These materials can then be used to manufacture joint and muscle protection, or lining for saddlebags, horse blankets and dog blankets.

An innovative textile technology
FIRs are continuously emitted from all living humans and animals. This form of energy is invisible to the naked eye but can be perceived, for example, with the help of a thermal imaging camera .
The minerals that are incorporated into our textile materials have the ability to use the wearer's own body heat. In other words: Welltex® technology allows our products to absorb and then re-emit FIR. This makes our materials "active" - and adds the "Back on Track effect" to their properties.
Infrared energy appears to have particularly beneficial effects on biological tissues and is well known to stimulate circulation and blood flow. In addition, FIR is often also found to relieve stiffness and discomfort in muscles and joints, as well as optimize physical performance and speed up recovery.
A variety of uses - for humans, pets and horses
Back on Track was indeed founded with the aim of making life easier for people who suffer from stiff, aching joints or muscles. But we have since developed our range to include a variety of products intended for animals, especially horses and dogs.
We have found that Welltex® is also of great benefit to members of the animal kingdom - who often suffer from the same problems as us. Products from Back on Track are therefore often used to alleviate conditions such as osteoarthritis, stiffness, swelling and inflammation.
Improved circulation and blood flow is one of the explanations for the positive effect on a variety of conditions. Good blood flow improves the exchange of oxygen, nutrients and waste products - which in turn supports the body's own healing processes.
A perfect fusion of effect, function and usability
To make the "effect" more accessible, we have included Welltex® in a large variety of different types of products, all with different material properties and areas of use.
The minerals are solely responsible for the FIR effect - but they do not retain heat, make the products warm to wear and do not help to insulate them. Such properties would only depend on the properties of the selected material. Our functional materials are chosen with the end product's material properties in mind; such as breathability, elasticity, warmth, softness, moisture wicking ability, durability and firmness.
The design adds additional features, such as fit, anatomical conformity and comfort. We always strive to make our products practical and easy to use in everyday life.
